Beaded Beauties - Bebas Cards

First delivery of  stock today  from the Bebas Card Project, beautiful hand made cards that are changing and empowering the lives of disadvantaged Balinese women & their families.

The Bebas Card Project is a grassroots community development project based in Bali, Indonesia. It enables women trapped in a cycle of poverty to financially provide for their families and pave the way to a future of hope.

BEBAS cards are crafted on recycled cardstock using traditional Balinese fabric and beading embellishment and are simply stunning. More information can be found here.

Carolia Dog Beds

                                                      

In conjunction with The Carolia Charity Inc, Fair Trade WA Oxfam Group is selling Carolina Dog beds, with any proceeds going to both The Carolia Charity and Oxfam Australia (see below for further information).

The Dog bed come in two sizes;

Large size (120cm x 70cm) $25
Small sizes (65cm x 80cm) $20

The soft cushion beds provide your dog (or cat!) with a comfortable rest spot and are also ideal for use in pet carriers, as a portable travel dog bed. To order please email fairtradewa@gmail.com or go directly to the Carolia Charity website.

The Carolia Charity Inc was initiated by Carolyn Evans and Lia Comben, a mother and daughter team who live in Mandurah, Western Australia. The Carolia Charity came is aimed at assisting the thousands of Balinese people struggling to secure the basic necessities of life. The money raised goes to helping fund education and health programs for Balinese living outside the main tourist areas of Bali, primarily Karangasem in the east.

Fair Trade Welcoming Kitten Door Stops

Wayan Candri has his workshop is inside his house, where he makes various beautiful wooden painted handcrafts. The extra income earned through sales to Mitra Bali have allowed him to renovate and extend his house and provide a large workshop area for the eight other painters and carvers who have joined him since 2003.
